About Alpha Group
Come have dinner and explore faith with Alpha!
(Starting on February 16th)
Are you new to faith? Are you looking for a stronger foundation for what you believe? Maybe you are trying to decide what you believe at all, is God real? Does he care about you? How can you know what to do with your life?
Alpha is the place for you!
Alpha helps create a space for honest conversation around some of life’s biggest questions. It is designed to provide participants an opportunity to connect with one another while providing the opportunity to share thoughts, ideas, and opinions in a safe and caring environment. Alpha helps bring people together while providing the chance to encounter Jesus.
Our Alpha group is designed for anyone to feel safe, cared for, and able to explore life's biggest questions.
When does Alpha meet?
Alpha meets at Church at the Gates on Monday evenings from 6:00-7:30pm.
What is Alpha like?
Each week is broken into three parts:
1. Dinner
Free dinner will be provided each week!
2. Teaching
A short video teaching tackling big topics and questions we have.
3. Conversation
A chance for you to share what you are thinking in a safe and supportive group environment where you can ask anything!
Who is Alpha for?
In short, everyone! Alpha is designed to tackle some of life's biggest questions in a way that would be accessible to a new or young believer, but also in a way that strengthens your faith if you've been following Jesus for awhile. If you've ever wondered if God is real, why and how to pray, and if there's more to life than what you are experiencing, then Alpha is for you.
This is also a great group for you to invite a friend to as they will feel cared for and comfortable.
You are welcome to come on any week. Registering for the group ahead of time does help us plan for food and space.
Currently there is no childcare available for Alpha but if you have childcare needs that prevent you from coming to Alpha, you can reach out to Mark Resch via email at: m.resch@churchaththegates.org and we may be able to assist in some way.
